SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX 2008

last weekend was spent workin @the f1 event.

this is the BEST JOB so far!

hazel eunice and i were allocated to GATE 6, the one near Fullerton Hotel. Thou it was one of the turning tracks, most of the people who visited this area are mainly photographers& ppl who bought the walkabouts tickets. 3 days were spent chattin,laughin,having our own picnic, and fanning ourselves when it gets really hot from 11am to 4pm.

Other than the hot weather we've nothin to complain about, good spot( cos rather isolated), good view of all the practices,qualifying rounds and the actual formula one race itself( since the track is jus RIGHT in front of our booth),made new friends who provided us with 100plus,drinks,food,choocolates&even ear plugs!

enjoyed strolling around padang with eunice when we are out selling the prog.get t interact with ppl from other countries & took a few with some fans of heikki and ferrari as well! that said, it's a pity we didnt get to take photo with 1 of the road marshalls who's really charming :/

anyway for the last day, went to 1 of the grandstands to watch the race. it's a birds eye view man. evryone goes 'ooooo.. ahhhhh' for the first crash and evryone jus stood up and snap pictures of the crashes. haaa. overall i guessed i've inhaled high level of 2nd hand smoke cos almost evrywhere ppl are smoking :( oh and after this event , i realise that i love the way caucasians and japanese behave!(:

met up wit my girls ysd for shopping. but i guessed we chilled& ate more than we shoppd!

hk cafe @ marina sq & shokudo for desserts.

it's quite a big serving w LOTS of japanese red bean! ^^ satisfying man!
however we ordered the mango kakigori too. and they'r too much for us, got us bloated aha!.

picnic ysd is simply beautiful&fun.

supposedly t meet them @11 but luckily we didnt haa. cos some of us were preparing food&stuff.

met up @ 2 plus in the end @parkway and then walked to East coast park!

findin a spot is tiring! couldnt find a spot with a shelter so we decided on somewhr near the sea and is shady( but in the end hannah says our spot is like near the dustbin area) haa.

quite pathetic that we do nt hav a mat and we had to make do with garbage bags tt we bought fr supermkt HAHA tore them and laid them on the ground. bt it's quite comfy la!(:

put down our stuffs. lay all our slippers around so that out ' mat ' wont fly, laid out our food and sat ard cosily! started eating! there's potato salad,prata,corn,mi fen guo tiao,garlic bread, a LONG LOAF of BREAD,1 packet of CRISPY BREAD,curry chicken,CHAMPAIGN GRAPES(i like!),oreo,lays,snacks that joo bought,drinks... the FOOD IS ALOT OK!!! (eme & hoong keep insisting that they are nt enuff!! ha! ) tink we jus kept eating for almost 2 hrs til fiona mentioned that she's full, den ning jia says she's full too. and i felt that i was full too. our picnic came an unexpected entertainment. thr's these 2 primary sch kids flirting in front of us, tryin to unbutton each other & hug & kiss. argh quite disgusting yet we were like lookin at them fr time to time. haha! but there's ANOTHER OLD COUPLE around 40+ or 50, who flirted in front of us. turned off totally!

me and charis were pretendin to play frisbee and tried to get near them but the wind direction is random so the frisbee jus flew around.

then joo&i went to FLY HER DRAGONFLY COUPLE KITE. haha she's the man ok! my kite-flyin mentor , i was reli clumsy& noob luh, bt she patiently taught me abt wind direction,how t control the kite & stuff. THANKS JOO!(: our first few attempts failed terribly bt finally it flew up,high up into the sky. the weather is super nice i swear(:

the rest played cards, and as usual there's camwhoring!

roller bladed a while. another mentor-emelyn! taught me hw to roller blade & it feels so good to be able to roller blade,though i'm stil a beginner & nt gd at it still! thanks EME! hoong tried too!(:

hoong left for cell grp first, then joo&nj to their class outin. eme kel charis n fiona played bridge while i took charge of takin pics n sitting down t watch , eating the champaign grapes. the sky grew darker, roller bladed a while b4 we packed & left for parkway! mailto:prata@ court b4 we headed back home finally! reli felt so happy with these crazy girls. hope u all feel the same way too!and tis time round we took 114 pics i tink? haha. it's all flooded in eme's cam. cant possibly upload them all!

met up with hannah &rachel jus now! haa supposed to teach them some vectors bt i guess i taught a lil bit onli. stayed at NLB for a while b4 hannah suggested to eat & then poof! off we go t raffles city's SHOKUDO FOOD BAZAAR right at basement 1.

concepts like marche. cool & a nice ambience! they went to order which i stayed to look after our "bao bao" hahaa inside joke. they came back with japanese curry rice,some eel rice & tempura mushroom. funny la they all. and they keep temptin me to eat more mushrooms(purposely don wan me t go swimming i guess! ) hey'r funny and crazy. next time shall try the desserts!(:

met up with my mummy for grocery shoppin. woah tt's been a long time since i went grocery shoppin with family. bought champaign grapes and my fav VITAGEN & yoghurt!(:

meetin up with my girls for shoppin & then sot lecture with eunice in the evenin! yayed(:

i'm beginnin to love my life for now.(:

kite flyin, roller blading,bridge,volley,hammock,champaign grapes,prata,egg mayo,potato sald,home-cooked mi fen&guo tiao,garlic bread,choco snacks&tidbits..
and 8 girls on the grass patch t share this whole load of fun in ecp.

chemistry was the last paper,which ended ysd.that said..the feelin i had wasnt the same kind of feelin i had after last papers of evry exam, u knoe, that kind of "hurray it's holiday!" that kind of feeling?instead, i felt more pressurised & insecure wads t prob w me man..

anw, BADMINTON with eme hoong and chris this morning is awesome! it's so much fun laughin at one another seems like we're watchin some movie. the court is like a hot oven man, i believe all my pores must have opened cos i couldnt stop sweating man.oh man, my right hand kinda ache now bt i'm gg swimming l8ter w eunice and sj! yayed .it's been 5 yrs since i last swam.i hope it doesnt rain later!pls dont.

oh ya, and dinner with my girls later(: i love hanging out with my sunshines ^^

terror part I jus ended.
yesterday being the most screwed up day,
slapped with 2 of my worst& most screwed up subjects couldn be bad enuff.
what i did for 1 of the subj was really the stupidiest mistake i'v ever made.
argggggg. sombre mood.

chem tday was....well.. undo-able.
there's a voice that echoes " screw this!" for evry qn tt i attempted
hahaaa . cant take it la, p3's darn difficult!

anw, since i'v 4 more days til the next paper, i'm gona rejuvenate myself man.
it's been a long time since i last jogged.
it's been a long time since i'v attended to my hair. woo bad hair day recently hahaa. and it needs some deep conditioning!
it's been a long time since ive sat down with my family for a meal oh how i miss that.

on a side note, i'v fallen for vitagen recently! nt quite a suitable word t use f a drink, but then i was tryin to say that i love this drink so much that i'm kinda dependent on it! 1 bottle in the morning, 1 at night. smtyms 1 in the mid day!
